THE SHORT ANSWER
The Speedgoat 5 replaced the 4 in March 2022 and is the update the line is still judged by. It cut a full ounce, threw out the overlaid upper for stretchy double-jacquard mesh with a thin gusseted tongue, softened the midsole and renamed the lug pattern Traction Lug. Road Trail Run scored it 9.9 out of 10 and Believe in the Run titled the review 'Still the GOAT'.
