The Speedgoat 4 replaced the 3 in November 2019 on the same 32/28 mm chassis and the same 4 mm drop. Hoka rebuilt the upper in a single layer of engineered mesh, reprofiled the Vibram lugs and sold the Speedgoat in a 2E wide for the first time. It also gained about a third of an ounce, and the new upper is the part testers argued about.
