The complete Saucony Peregrine lineage

The Peregrine is Saucony's flagship trail shoe and the metronome of the category: seven generations in seven years, every one of them a January or February release, every one of them quoted at a 4 mm drop. It is the nimble one on this site's trail shelf, a low-stack all-rounder with a rock plate that runners race, run daily and hike in, and the community's one constant complaint across all seven versions is that it is not an ultra shoe. The arc is a slow walk toward the cushioned mainstream. The 10 and 11 (2020-21) were the padded, grippy originals. The 12 (2022) stripped an ounce out of the tongue, collar and overlays, which reviewers cheered and seven-pair veterans mourned. The 13 softened it, the 14 (2024) quoted a stack jump the lab calipers barely found and shipped the line's one real QC spike, heel rubber that split inside 100 km and a warranty pair that failed the same way. The 15 (2025) fixed exactly those failure points and became the community's favourite. Then the 16 (January 2026) ended an era: Vibram Megagrip replaced Saucony's own PWRTRAC rubber after some fifteen years, read almost universally as an upgrade rather than a betrayal, because wet grip was the line's oldest weakness. Offshoots stay out of the succession: the soft-terrain ST variants (10 through 13, then discontinued), a GTX of every generation, the separately numbered ICE+ winter line, and the one-off Peregrine RFG. There is no Peregrine 17 as of August 2026; on this line's cadence, expect one every January.
