THE SHORT ANSWER
In the US, the Vomero 16 replaced the Vomero 14 in July 2021. A Vomero 15 exists, but Nike never sold it in America, so US runners went straight from the 14 to the 16, a softer, heavier shoe that traded the 14's firm, fast character for the traditional plush Vomero ride.

The 16 went back to the line's traditional job: soft, heavy, unhurried cushioning for easy days.
