The 1080 is New Balance's plush flagship daily trainer, sold in real widths from narrow to 4E. The v13 rebuilt it in 2023, softer, taller, lower drop, narrower fit, and split the fan base badly enough that the v14 spent its whole update walking parts of it back. The v15 then swapped the foam franchise entirely, replacing Fresh Foam X with supercritical Infinion, and won the best reviews in years.
