The complete Nike Vomero lineage

The Vomero is Nike's premium cushioned trainer, the softer, more padded sibling to the Pegasus, and it has changed direction more than once. The Vomero 14 (2018) was the firm, fast version, built on React foam and a full-length Zoom Air unit. The Vomero 15 went back to plush but never got a US release (insiders blamed a Zoom Air supply crunch; Nike never said), so American runners jumped straight from the 14 to the 16 in 2021. The 17 (2023) deleted the Zoom Air unit for a ZoomX and Cushlon stack and became the best-liked Vomero in years. The 18 (2025) rebuilt the shoe again as a 46 mm max-cushion cruiser, and it now anchors a three-tier family alongside the all-ZoomX Vomero Plus ($180) and the 55 mm Vomero Premium ($220), neither of which sits in the numbered succession. One shopping warning: the Zoom Vomero 5 sold everywhere right now is a 2011 lifestyle retro, not a running shoe in this line.

Questions runners ask

What is the newest Nike Vomero?
The Nike Vomero 18, released in 2025. List price at launch was $150.
Which Nike Vomero versions are hard to find now?
Vomero 14, Vomero 16. They are discontinued at retail, so Amazon carries whatever stock remains and sizes disappear one by one.
Which Nike Vomero should I buy?
New to the line: buy the Vomero 18. Loyal to the older ride: the previous version rides differently from the current one, and remaining old stock is the only way to get it. See the what-replaced page for that version before deciding.
