DNA Tuned supercritical foam
The Glycerin is Brooks's plush premium neutral trainer, the step up from the Ghost: same easy-miles mission, more foam, roughly $25 more. The modern era splits into three foam chapters. The classic DNA Loft 18 and 19 (2020-21) were soft, smooth and, in hindsight, a little dead. The nitrogen-infused DNA Loft v3 rebuilt the platform in the 20 (2022), the version one tester called the best Glycerin Brooks has ever made and the one loyalists still hoard. The DNA Tuned supercritical foam arrived with the 22 (2025) and split those same loyalists. Along the way the family sprawled. In 2021 Brooks killed the Transcend and folded it in here as the Glycerin GTS, a GuideRails support variant of each numbered shoe rather than a line of its own. A knit StealthFit variant ran from the 20 through the 22, retired when the 23's standard upper went knit. The 45 mm Glycerin Max (2024, where DNA Tuned debuted) and the flexible Glycerin Flex (2026) are separate shoes outside this succession.
