THE SHORT ANSWER
The Endorphin Speed 3 replaced the Speed 2 in July 2022 at $170, $10 more. It widened the platform, swapped the straight nylon plate for a winged one, and traded some of the old snap for stability. It is the most divisive update in the line's history.

Changed characterSaucony widened the platform and winged the plate to fix the 1 and 2's tippy heel, and the fix worked, at the cost of some of the old pop. Both were right.
