THE SHORT ANSWER
The Ghost 15 replaced the Ghost 14 in November 2022. It swapped the midsole to lighter DNA Loft v2, trimmed the upper volume, and raised the price by $10 to $140. The ride stayed recognizably Ghost.

- Drop is unchanged at 12 mm
- New midsole foam
- List price up $10
Every spec side by side, with the reason behind each change: Ghost 14 vs 15.
Stay on your shoe, or switch?
Faithful successorThe 15 is a classic Ghost update: a new foam generation, a familiar ride, ten more dollars. Most reviewers scored it well and moved on. The loudest complaints came from Ghost 14 devotees, who wanted nothing changed at all.
Stick with the Ghost 14 if
- You are one of the Ghost 14 faithful; its foam and roomier midfoot are the difference
- Marketplace 14s in your size beat the 15's price
Move to the Ghost 15 if
- You want lighter foam in the same 12 mm geometry
- The 14's midfoot ran sloppy on your foot
Where the Brooks Ghost is now
Four generations separate the Brooks Ghost 14 from the Ghost 18 (2026), so the gap is wider than any single update suggests:
- The Ghost 18 is 0.3 oz heavier
- Drop moved from 12 mm to 10 mm
- New midsole foam
- List price up $20
What loyalists said about the update
Mainstream reviews settled on 'Ghost fans will not be disappointed.' The dissent came from two camps: one reviewer found it firmer and no improvement, and Ghost 14 loyalists ranked it below their favorite on principle.

Questions runners ask
- Is the Brooks Ghost 14 still available?
- For now. Amazon still lists the Brooks Ghost 14, but the size run is thinning and prices swing with remaining stock. If your size is there, this is the late window, not the early one.
- Is the Ghost 15 a downgrade from the Brooks Ghost 14?
- No. The Ghost 15 keeps the same ride and fixes small things. If you liked the Brooks Ghost 14, the update carries over without an adjustment period.
- Is the Brooks Ghost still made?
- Yes. The current version is the Brooks Ghost 18, released in 2026, 4 versions on from the Brooks Ghost 14.
- What is the closest current alternative to the Brooks Ghost 14?
- The Nike Pegasus 42. The Pegasus covers the same daily-trainer role with a firmer ride, and since the Ghost 17 the two lines share a 10 mm drop. It is the obvious cross-shop in the other direction.
