THE SHORT ANSWER
The Adrenaline GTS 23 replaced the GTS 22 in June 2023. It swapped the midsole to DNA Loft v2 foam and trimmed a little weight, and left the platform, the GuideRails, and the $140 price alone.

At a glance
- Weight is unchanged
- Drop is unchanged at 12 mm
- New midsole foam
Every spec side by side, with the reason behind each change: Adrenaline GTS 22 vs 23.
Stay on your shoe, or switch?
Faithful successorThe 23 is a foam-generation update on an unchanged platform, the same move the Ghost made a year earlier. It kept the Adrenaline dependable and a hair lighter, though the softer-foam marketing did not match what most feet reported. A safe buy, not an upgrade worth chasing.
Stick with the Adrenaline GTS 22 if
- The 22 fits your foot and shows up cheaper; the platform is the same
- You run in real cold, where the 23's foam stiffened up badly in testing
Move to the Adrenaline GTS 23 if
- You want the current fit with vegan materials and a touch less weight
- Your size in the 22 is down to third-party sellers
Where the Brooks Adrenaline GTS is now
The line has moved three versions past the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22, and the current model is now the Adrenaline GTS 25 (2025). Measured against your shoe:
- The Adrenaline GTS 25 is 0.4 oz heavier
- 1 mm more heel stack
- Drop moved from 12 mm to 10 mm
- New midsole foam
- List price up $5
What loyalists said about the update
Middling for the line. Testers who expected the softer foam Brooks advertised often found it firmer than the 22, and one reviewer double-checked the box to make sure they had the right shoe. The thin forefoot drew complaints from non-heel-strikers, and one lab flagged the mesh toebox as fragile. Fans of the dependable formula were still content.

Questions runners ask
