RunRepeat's calipers make the 8's upper 5.8 mm narrower than the 7's at its widest point, and this is the generation reviewers describe as roomier. Two things explain it: width across the big toe did not move at all, 83.6 mm on both, and the forefoot midsole platform actually widened slightly, 116.0 to 117.7 mm. What narrowed is the midfoot, which is hold rather than toe room. | ||
