FF Blast Max foam with 3D Guidance System
The GT-2000 is Asics's mid-price stability workhorse, the tier below the Gel-Kayano and one of the longest-running support franchises in the sport: it descends from the 1986 GT-II through the GT-2100 series and took its current name in 2013. For decades the formula was fixed, a firm Dynamic DuoMax medial post, a plastic Trusstic shank, a 10 mm drop, and a podiatrist's blessing. The modern line dismantled that in two stages: the 10 (2021) retired the DuoMax name and cut the drop to 8 mm, and the 12 (2023) deleted the post entirely for the geometry-only 3D Guidance System. The twist is that the 12 executed the change so well it became the most hoarded version in the line. The 14 (2025) brought bouncier FF Blast Max foam and a narrower fit that long-time wearers noticed, and the 15 (August 2026, current) is a lighter refinement at a new $150 price. This page tracks every version since 2020. The GT-2000 GTX, the TR trail variants, and the Lite-Show colorways sit outside the numbered succession, as do the budget GT-1000 and the dormant GT-4000 siblings.
