Believe in the Run, which had always liked the Challenger for its accommodating fit, called the 8 much narrower and scored the fit 3 out of 5. RunRepeat, in the other camp, reads the new toebox as a win for people who found the 7 too snug. | ||

| Do not read the 11 mm literally. 2025 is when Hoka started quoting full stack including outsole and sockliner instead of midsole only, so the two numbers are on different bases. RunRepeat cut both shoes open and measured 32.9 to 40.2 mm at the heel, so the real gain is about 7 mm of foam, still the biggest single-version change in the line. The same applies to the drop: quoted 5 to 8 mm, measured 8.8 to 10.1. | ||
